In order to achieve her dream of becoming a baker,Lu Yi-Rong passed on the chance to study at a
renowned public high school that required high scores on National Entrance Examinations. Her decision to study at Kai Ping Culinary School was unexpected to most, however, it paved her way for a successful career.
During her time at Kai Ping Culinary School , she developed professional expertise, made lifelong friends, expanded her perspective and fostered creativity. Her experience at Kai Ping Culinary
School has been vital for her R&D work and culinary arts. Lu said: "In school, I worked on catering events, undertook a one-year internship and participated in culinary exchange programs abroad. All of these resources were scarce in other schools."
Lu built a solid foundation during her time at Kai Ping Culinary School. At her employer Sugar Free
Bakery and Gelato, natural fruits and quality ingredients are used so that even customers with blood sugar medical problems can enjoy her products. She has successfully made a name for herself in the industry with cookies, pastry and gelato. She said: "It is a great sign of trust that customers have remained loyal to my products,despite nationwide problems with food safety". She intends to perfect her craft in order to offer better products and set an example for the next generation of chefs.
