The Chinese word “Guanxi” refers to the intra-and inter-personal relationships. “Guanxiology”founded by Dr. Hsia, is the principle of which our education approach is based upon. Throughdialogue, listening, and accompaniment, student and teacher develop a “Guanxi” that enablesself-reflection, to learn, to think independently, to take responsibilities, and finally to take thecourageous steps to pursuit dreams and goals.
Because we insist on creating a diverse environment that represents microsociety, students have the
opportunities to play different roles, such as a “decision maker,” an “executor,” an “auditor” and more. Students learn from these “Guanxi” as they play different roles throughout their learning experience, as well as the responsibilities that come with, thereby allowing them to realize their true desires and ultimately make decisions and take responsibilities for themselves.
